Meriç Süt Ürünleri was established in 1998 on the island of Cyprus. Since its establishment, it exports to more than 10 countries with fast and planned growth. It is an international company whose products are consumed in more than 100 cities. It started its adventure in a 200 m2 closed area with 8 people and 60 personnel in a 3500 m2 closed area. It has expanded its milk processing capacity, 2000 liters in the first days, to 100,000 liters.
Countries Exported by Meriç Süt Ürünleri
Meriç Süt Ürünleri, which made its first exports to Turkey in 1999, self-developed brands in 2006, “Meriç Halloumi,” “Meriç cheddar,” “Meriç Mozeralla,” are available. These products are also in Turkey with Metro Gross, Real Market, the supermarket chains such as Carrefour and Migros finally take place on the shelves in stores. Since 2008, it has brought together the Gulf countries’ brands with Halloumi cheese special to Cyprus. It has continued its adventure in Meriç Village, Cyprus Island, as the first company to export to Japan from Cyprus Island in 2016.
Today, it has established an export network extending from North America to Japan. It exports Halloumi cheese, a flavor unique to Cyprus, to many countries, including Japan. More than 70% of its total production has been allocated to the export department in this context. The remaining production is offered for sale in Cyprus. Also, it makes contract manufacturing for leading companies in various countries.
Quality and Export Awards
In 2018, the BRC certificate was awarded, which is the label of Hygiene and quality, with high marks. Thanks to this document, which is the gold medal of the food industry, it has already registered its confident quality. It has taken 75% of the energy used in its production facilities from solar energy panels, a renewable energy type, and has made its environmental sensitivity into a company policy. In 2004, it became the 4th company that exports the most in its own branch, 3rd in 2012 and 2 in 2016. In 2017, it was finally entitled to become the most exporting dairy company in Cyprus.

The company, which has been in the sector for almost a quarter of a century, has shown that it will continue to increase its success for many more years with its successes.
